This is an active volcano on White Island off the coast of New Zealand. Took a trip out to see the volcano and this is a photo of a number of geologists who were also on the trip - who were luckily allowed to get quite close. People used to work on White Island but it's now abandoned.

A spectacular water fall at the milford sound in New Zealand. You can get this ferry which takes you around the Milford sound. There's some really spectacular views in this area, plus lots of seals and penguins. Taken with the trusy Olympus C700 Digital Camera.

Headed onto the Milford Sound, stopped off and took this photo. This part of the world is amazing with really dense vegetation, snow capped mountains and its teeming with wild-life as well. Lots of Keas inhabit this area. They're very tame and often cause damage to parked cars by ripping off bits of plastic etc.

The Franz Josef Glacier in the south island of New Zealand. You can trek up this glacier, or take a helicopter flight over it. I did the trek, but a helicopter ride would have been excellent.
